I couldn’t imagine how the survivor of the crash will feel. I’m soo sorry for the loss. What a miserable time of year for this to happen to a family.

What’s with these people in Antioch hitting tree after tree after tree? There were at least 4 trees hit this year! Judging by the condition of that vehicle, the driver must have been hauling ass!

Boo hoo. Sorry for the family. Grieving instead of celebrating this Christmas. But what do you expect? Another Antioch knucklehead meets his maker

Witnesses said they saw this driver weaving in-and-out of traffic at very high speed and then crashing into the tree.

There are so many of these things on Hillcrest I’m just waiting for the day when there’s a movement to take out all the trees as unsafe. It’s baloney, but you just know it’s coming

The trees are stopping them from driving into back yards. They are actually stronger than a lot of the low quality cement walls that buckle and crumble when hit. The wood in the trees slightly flex giving them incredible stopping power. Also they are thinner so they cut through the metal like a knife in butter.

Good thing he didn’t take anyone else out when he crashed.

If they take out the tree’s that just means they’ll hit people head on!!! That’s crazy, leave the tree’s alone.
