The Pittsburg Police Department is investigating a two vehicle rollover crash Tuesday morning that occurred at Railroad Ave and Buchanan Road in the City of Pittsburg that left three people in critical condition.
The rollover crash occurred at 9:20 am left one vehicle overturned on Railroad Avenue and another overturned in a yard which shut down the intersection as three fire units were requested along with three AMR units.
According to Battalion Chief Bob Atlas, he confirmed all three patients were transported in critical condition but had no other information.
Its unclear according to Pittsburg Police as to when the roadway would be open and no details on the crash were provided on scene.

At about 9:20 AM this morning Pittsburg officers responded with medical personnel to a traffic collision at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Buchanan Road involving two vehicles. Shortly after arriving at the location, medical personnel determined both the driver and a passenger from one of the vehicles were suffering from life threatening injuries and both were transported to area hospitals.
Unfortunately, the driver of this vehicle was pronounced deceased at the hospital and the passenger remains in critical but stable condition. The other involved party sustained minor injuries.
The Pittsburg Police Department Fatal Accident Response Team responded and took over the investigation. During the initial investigation, it was determined that the vehicle with the two occupants was traveling north on Railroad Avenue and collided with a vehicle traveling east on Buchanan Road.
At this point it is unknown if impairment was a factor in the collision. The identity of the deceased is being withheld notification.
