Wanted suspect Alexander William Anderson was arrested Thursday morning by the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff Warrant Services Unit, J-Team and U.S. Marshals on El Capitan Lane in Antioch.

28-year-old Anderson was wanted in connection with a series of property crimes and an assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer in Lafayette. In that incident, Anderson rammed a Lafayette police vehicle while fleeing in a stolen car.

A $175,000 warrant was issued for his arrest.

Anderson was arrested without incident this morning. He had changed his hair color and hid inside his home to avoid detection. He was located after Deputies conducted a thorough search of the residence. Anderson was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. He is being held in lieu of $245,000 bail.
