Stolen Car Takes Out Light Pole and Gas Station Sign

A few minutes after midnight, Antioch Police  officers spotted a stolen car and began tracking the suspect. The suspect accelerated and crashed after driving recklessly.  The incident ended early Tuesday morning at Hillcrest Avenue and Highway 4 where police took a suspect into custody.  The incident lasted less than 3-minutes after the stolen car was spotted.

The vehicle ended up taking out a signal a signal light, the gas station price sign, 45 feet of grass while knocking down other items. The vehicle ended up stopping only a few feet from the natural gas container. It was being reported by one observer that the stolen vehicle reached 80 mph at one point.

That Lexus belonged to my Dad. She was an older Lexus that had sentimental meaning and he just loved that car. She was stolen (along with non-replaceable pers. property) by four filthy lowlife scum criminals. What those bottom feeders did and what my father has had to deal with since is terrible. Why scums like that are saved is beyond me. Hitting that propane tank would have been a happy ending in my book. Four less scums for the hard working law abiding citizens to worry about
