Photos: Motorcycle vs. Auto on James Donlon Monday Night

by ECT

At 6:16 pm Monday evening, emergency response personnel responded to a motorcycle versus vehicle on James Donlon Road and DiMaggio Way. The incident resulted in minor injuries to the motorcyclist, however, the accident did block the eastbound direction of James Donlon for about a half hour as crews worked the scene.

According to one of our readers, the driver of the vehicle cut off the motorcyclist causing him to slam into the back of the vehicle which caused him flew over the handlebars.  The motorcyclist was able to stand up after the accident, however, he was transported via an ambulance as a precaution.

This is just another reminder to drive safely on James Donlon and to also be on the lookout for motorcyclists.

James Donlon is a very bad road and should never have had the speed raised. I know it was mandated but that doesn’t mean people have to travel 60 or even more. I lobbied the council back then when we had several deaths already to no avail. Hope we get traffic officers soon.

You really need to proof read before you post. “Which caused him flew over the handlebars.”
