Saturday: Contra Costa First 5 Kicks Off Prosserville PACE Initiative

by ECT

First 5 Contra Costa in partnership with the City of Antioch is proud to kick-off its Prosserville PACE initiative. The kick-off event is at no cost to residents and will include fun activities for children and families including face painting, arts and crafts, and Zumba courses. There will also be special prizes for the first 100 guests.

The initiative is funded by First 5 Contra Costa and Kaiser Permanente, and is designed to encourage families, including those with children ages 0 to 5, to be more active at their local parks through walking and Zumba courses.

Additionally, the initiative is part of a larger community’s response to a report published by the East County Regional Group, titled, the Antioch Park Assessment. The report identified Antioch’s Prosserville Park as one of many Antioch parks in need of immediate improvements and increased community utilization. To date, the City of Antioch has invested more than a half million dollars in repairs and upgrades based assessment recommendations.
