Richmond Murder Suspect Arrested in Pittsburg

The Richmond Police Department announced Monday that homicide detectives arrested a murder suspect in the City of Pittsburg.

Police say that on March 26, 2016 at around 6:00 PM, officers responded to a call of a possible shooting in the 1700 block of Maine Ave. Residents in the area reported that a person had been shot. Officers arrived and found 21 yrs. old Malik Booker of Richmond lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. A K-9 officer performed life saving measures on the victim, unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital.

Homicide Detective Wentz and his colleagues responded to the murder investigation. Detectives developed leads and worked on the investigation through the weekend and the week.

Based on information gleaned from the investigation, they identified the murder suspect as 18 yrs. old Temaree Harris of Richmond, a validated gang member. An arrest warrant was issued for him

On April 1, 2016, RPD detectives and officers located the suspect in the City of Pittsburg and arrested him for the murder of Malik Booker.

Richmond has had 5-homicides in 2016.

He was actually arrested in Antioch on highway 4. Just happened to be by a Pittsburg cop.
