Redwood City Police Arrest Organized Retail Theft Suspect

On December 3, Redwood City Street Crimes Suppression Team Detectives began an investigation of possible organized retail theft after receiving information of suspicious activity involving a subject, later identified as Eric Crossman, in the 200 block of Grand Street.

Detectives conducted a probation search at the suspect’s residence and located over 80 stolen items taken from various Home Depot stores in the Bay Area.

Most of the items recovered were high end power tools and electronics. The total value of the items was over $14,000. They were taken from Home Depot outlets in San Carlos, San Mateo, Colma, Pittsburg, Brentwood and San Jose.

Crossman (24) was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance.
