There are many streets in Antioch where driver think they are participating in the Indy-500. This happens a lot in residential zones where the speed is 25 MPH! Some drive so fast that it’s impossible to tell the make of the vehicle, let alone plate numbers. Why aren’t there devices set out to catch them?

At least there wasn’t a loaded weapon in the car.

The “18-year old was arrested on multiple charges. No further information was provided”… So how do you know there wasn’t a loaded weapon in the car?

Thank you PPD and APD! Lone Tree way, Deer Valley and Country Hills and Hillcrest crazy with speeders too and just past year hit twice by reckless and drunk drivers! Also at night they use Deer Valkey and Country Hills not only to race cars/motorcycles/ motorbikes BUT they also do donuts/circles and you can even see the round skid marks! Hope you get those guys too!

I’m sure someone right now is saying “why they treating my 18 yo baby that way, he’s an angel and would never do anything like that” (insert rolling eye emoji here)

Because he didn’t hurt anyone luckily. And because many Americans would want him to get the Emmit Till punishment even for jaywalking.

Might not be a bad idea! Sure would learn his lesson!

doerayme Apr 3, 2019 - 11:33 pm

Yeah right, victims have no say anymore. We’re supposed have protests defending criminals so that a big lawsuit can follow. Raise your children the right way first, then see what happens.

Thank you APD, I hope the KID learns a valuable lesson!

Neil Apr 5, 2019 - 1:37 pm

That type of kid doesn’t learn any lessons! You instill values when a kid is a toddler. It’s a little late to start doing it when one’s 18.

Greg Apr 3, 2019 - 6:24 am

The kid is getting punished for his crime and rightly so. But some posters seems to enjoy people getting arrested a little to much. Maybe there are other reasons for that. Either way being joyful about an 18 potentially ruining their life says a lot about you

glad he is taken away before he causes more harm. I am very happy for him, he could have been dead by now. Waiting for the news of dumpers being caught with huge fines, they should add community service and jail time too.

Lola Apr 4, 2019 - 6:44 pm

Actually, Greg! There too few arrests these days. The police need to get tougher with these punks!

“I’m in the park waiting for my girlfriend. Remember that.” Another POS punk spouting off to the cops. Drop this Ahole in the clink.

Another one bites the dust.

Happens far too frequently, and not only on James Donlon. I saw one this morning doing about 70-75 on eastbound Davison who then continued in the same fashion on Hillcrest.

I watched some joker going what must have been 80 mph on Lone Tree by Sutter Hospital and running red lights!
