At around 5:18 pm Friday, Contra Costa County firefighters were dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire in a threat zone off Crestview Drive in the City of Pittsburg.
By 5:24 pm, Engine 85 arrived on scene and reported a fire in the backyard of a home on Alta Vista Cir. off Crestview Drive. The fire was also threatening the home.
By 5:28 pm, Engine 85 reported the fire was now in two backyards and requested wildland units arriving on scene to the vegetation fire from moving up the hill.
