Pittsburg: Suspect Arrested in Murder of Pittsburg Man, Bail Set at $1 Million

The Pittsburg Police Department has arrested Brian Adams, 22 of Antioch, for the shooting that left another male dead Tuesday morning.

According to Captain Ron Raman of the Pittsburg Police Department, just before 6am on Tuesday morning a male adult was shot as he drove through West Street.  The victim was male adult whom resided in the City of Pittsburg.

He was transported to John Muir Hospital and was listed in critical condition but has since died from his injuries.

Captain Raman stated detectives have been following several leads and actively working this case.  The suspect in this case was identified yesterday as 22 year old Brian Adams with a last known address in the City of Antioch.

Detectives located Adams in a vehicle in the City of Martinez.  He was contacted by Pittsburg Officers and arrested.  Adams has confessed to shooting the victim and is currently in County Jail on murder charges with a million dollar bail.

This is an ongoing investigation said Captain Raman.
