At 2:11 am this morning, Pittsburg Police officers responded to Sierra Drive near Railroad Avenue for a shooting. The victim, 39 year old Oakley resident, was located on the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The victim in this case appears to have been the intended target. The suspect fled the area and Detectives are following up on leads. More information will be provided as they become available.
Sierra Drive was closed between Railroad Avenue and San Juan drive until 11:00am this morning. Anyone with information relative to this case should contact the Pittsburg Police Department.
