The Pittsburg Police Department is investigating a shooting on Heatherwood Drive and Limewood Place that left two people injured. The incident happened just before 11 pm last night.
11:47 am update via Pittsburg Police Lt. Raman:
At 1040 pm last night, Pittsburg Police Officers responded to the 1900 block of Heatherwood Drive for a shooting call. Officers located two subjects suffering from gunshot wounds, 19 year old female Pittsburg resident and 22 year old male Pittsburg resident. The female was shot in the lower back area and the male was shot in the right arm. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
The shooting victims were walking to a residence, a few blocks away, when the driver of a vehicle drove up to them and fired the shots. The vehicle was described as being red or maroon in color.
Investigators are looking into an altercation the victims may have been involved in earlier in the night that may have led to the shooting. Anyone with information relative to this incident should contact the Pittsburg Police Department Tip Line at 925-427-7369

Why man
PPD is saying these two were possibly involved in another crime in Antioch before the shooting in Pittsburg. SMDH. Why is Channel 2 news blocking the identity of the guy who found the girl in his front yard, but Channel 7 is not? I don’t get that. Where a bouts is Limewood and Heatherwood or whatever the street is called?

We used to live on Heatherwood. A quiet street for the most part. Way better neighbourhood than the one I live in now in Antioch.
pittsburg and antioch use to be great citys .the police is doing all they can and the crimes are getting worse ….pple should just stop..smdh
