Pittsburg Police: Violent Crime Reduced, Property Crime Increases in 2014

Today, the Pittsburg Police Department released a graphic on social media highlighting that their violent crime in 2014 was reduced while property crimes increased.

According to the figures, Pittsburg experienced a 3.8% reduction in violent crime while property crime increased 17.2%.

In 2014, the City had a total of 4 murders which matched the 2013 total. They also had 96 robberies and 73 aggravated assaults.

In 2014, Pittsburg saw 570 burglaries, 720 vehicle thefts, and 16 arson.
