Pittsburg Police Say Man Shoots and Kills Roommate

The Pittsburg Police Department says a man turned himself in after shooting his roommate early Tuesday morning.

According to Captain Ron Raman, at 5:30 am Tuesday Pittsburg Police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Trident Drive.  The suspect, a 47 year-old-male, called dispatch and stated that he had shot and killed his roommate after an argument.

“Officers arrived on scene and found the 23 year old male victim deceased inside of the residence.  The suspect was arrested for murder and the firearm used has been recovered,” said Raman.

The suspect and victim live at the location and the shooting was a result of an argument.

No further information has been provided.
