Pittsburg Police Investigating Homicide of 28-Year-Old Oakland Resident

On Saturday August 29th just after 10:00PM, Pittsburg Police Officers responded to the 2217 E. Leland Road (Diamond Hillside Apartment Complex) for a subject that had been shot.  Officers located the victim, 28 year old Oakland resident, near a pathway leading from the parking lot to the apartment complex.

The victim was not responsive; lifesaving efforts were made however the victim died from his injuries on scene.

The suspect is described as an African American male approximately 6’ tall and slender build. The victim was the intended target and was shot in the parking lot of this apartment complex.  The suspect entered a maroon or dark colored minivan and left the area prior to police arrival.
