On Monday, the Pittsburg Police Department respond to the Verizon Wireless int he 4400 block of Century Blvd for a report of an armed robbery.
According to police, upon arrival, officers learned two masked gunmen entered the business, both in possession of handguns. At the time, the business was occupied by two employees and two patrons.
“Both armed men demanded the employees open the safe to the business. The employees complied and opened the safe and the men removed several phones,” said Captain Steve Albanese.
Police said the men then entered a gold-colored Honda sedan and fled westbound through the parking lot. The investigation is ongoing, as officers are working several leads. Neither the employees nor patrons were harmed during this incident.
