Pittsburg Man Arrested by Pleasant Hill Police After Christmas Eve Game Stop Robberies

On December 25, the Pleasant Hill Police Department announced the arrest of man who robbed two Game Stop stores on Christmas Eve.

Police say on December 24, at 2:11 pm, officers responded to the Game Stop at 552 Contra Costa Blvd for a robbery that had just occurred. The suspect fled from the business and was not immediately located.

At 7:02 pm, Pleasant Hill officers responded to the Game Stop at 2360 Monument Blvd. for a report of a subject refusing to leave.

Officers arrived and contacted Richard Luis Hernandez, 27, of Pittsburg. Hernandez was contacted and found to be in possession of a replica firearm. He was detained by Officers. It was determined that Hernandez was committing a robbery at this location.

Further investigation revealed that Richard Luis Hernandez was responsible for the earlier robbery. He was booked into County Jail for two counts of robbery.
