According to police, over the last few months, numerous cities in the Bay Area have experienced a dramatic increase in the number of residential burglaries in their neighborhoods.

Police announced the arrest of Brandon Jonathan Burks, 21 of Antioch, after plainclothes South San Francisco Police officers conducting surveillance in the Buri Buri neighborhood interrupted an in-progress residential burglary in the 500 block of Hibiscus Drive.

A $100,000 warrant was issued for his arrest and he has since been taken into custody and is facing felony charges of first-degree-burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
