At 9:00pm Tuesday night, Pittsburg Police Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Schooner Way for a shooting. A 16 year old male victim was found inside of the garage suffering from gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The garage has a side access door which faces the street that was partially open at the time of the shooting. The suspect fired the gunshot through this open door and fled the location. The victim in this case has prior contacts with the police department and is known to associate with a local street gang. At this point the residents at this location appear to be the target of this shooting.
Detectives are following up on leads and contacting witnesses. Anyone with information should contact the Pittsburg Police Department.
