On September 14, 2022, at 9:14 AM the Pinole Police Department responded to a call of multiple gunshots fired with people yelling in the 1000 block of Bay View Farm Road.
While officers responded, a caller advised a subject was down in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they found a man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the subject deceased.
The Criminal Investigations Division responded and took over the investigation.
The victim has been identified as Lamont Carter, a 40-year-old male out of Pinole. The initial investigation indicates the victim was targeted and this was not a random attack.
