At roughly 4:47 pm Wednesday, emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident on E. 18th Street in Antioch that left one car on the sidewalk and partially in the outside seating area at Dairy Queen. It appears one of the rails along the sidewalk were able to limit the number of injuries to those sitting outside enjoying a meal.
From what we hear, one person sustained a broken leg. We have no other details on the cause of the crash at this time.
Antioch PD closed down one westbound lane as crews from CONFIRE and AMR worked the incident.
