Photos: CONFIRE Performs Technical Rescue on James Donlon After Auto Accident

At roughly 1:26 pm Sunday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District units responded to a technical rescue which involved two cars and two victims being transported via ambulance. The incident occurred on James Donlon Road just before Contra Loma in front of the Twin Creek Apartments.

Antioch Police was on scene to block traffic which closed the eastbound lane of James Donlon for roughly an hour.  The response to this accident was quick as crews were right around the corner wrapping up two vegetation fires and were on scene within minutes.

CONFIRE also battles Two Vegetation Fires   

At roughly 12:45pm, CONFIRE crews received word of a small vegetation fire on Gentrytown Drive in Antioch. The fire was small in nature, but created a lot of smoke. It was handled by Q83.

At roughly 12:55pm, CONFIRE crews responded two a second vegetation fire in the area off Dimaggio Way along the canal which was running up against the fence of some homes. Thankfully, the vegetation was cut down. Residents from the home were using a hose to keep the fire from catching fire close to homes.
