The 7th Annual Joey Graves Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday honored those who have served this country where nearly 100 golfers took to the course for the day long fundraiser to further help remember those who served in the armed forces and gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Over 125 folks attended the dinner portion of the event and joined in on raffle items and the silent auction.
Some of the highlights include presenting new banners to GoldStar Moms where their speeches left not a dry eye in the room. Another major highlight was the presenting of a $3,000 check to Operation Freedom Paws which is a fabulous organization that trains veterans and others with disabilities to train their own service dog.
US. Congressman Jerry McNerney and State Assemblyman Jim Frazier were on hand for the ceremony portion of the event which took place at the Discovery Bay Country Club.
In a statement via social media, the foundation thanked everyone for their participation.
