by ECT

According to a release by Deer Valley High School Principal Ken Gardner, the school was forced to increase security today after a parent came onto campus and became upset. The parent then made threats.

In response, Antioch Police were notified.

Here is the release by the school.

Good Afternoon,

This is Ken Gardner, Principal of Deer Valley High School, with an important safety announcement. Earlier today, a parent of a DVHS student came onto our campus very upset. Our administrators spoke with the parent who then made several statements of a threatening nature.

The Antioch Police Department has been notified. Additionally, the District is providing additional security on campus and in front of the school.

Please remember that all visitors must check in at the front office. Also, it is important that if you see any suspicious behavior on or near our campus, that you immediately report it to the school or police.

Thank you for your commitment to keeping our campus a safe place.

Great example. Now we know why some of the students act the way they do!

And people wonder why the kids act the way they do. It all starts at home people. Poor school admin can never catch a break.

Why wouldn’t they tell us more specifically what those threats were or who they were aimed at? Did they threaten the students? Probably not. Did they threaten the administrators? Most likely. Would it help the public to know which areas might be more at risk? Absolutely!

But yeah, way to be an example parent. Lead by example for God’s sake.

People should thank the parents; Deer Valley has needed increased security for a decade.

Students assulted her son! As a parent I can understand her frustration, But she should have never threatened to blow up the school!

It doesn’t matter that students assaulted her son. As a parent, she needs to be a mature adult, and provide a good example. You don’t threaten to blow up anything, yet alone her child’s school.
