Just after 5:00 pm Tuesday, Costa Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a male dancing in the middle of Highway 4 near Hillcrest in Antioch.
The male drove in reverse and continued to get in and out of the vehicle as he danced while at one point he got in front of a big rig. AMR at one point attempted to grab his car keys but were unsuccessful.
He continued eastbound from Hillcrest to Sand Creek Road where he then was dancing naked in the freeway where Battalion 5 reported he was in the center divide doing “the worm” dance move.
He was finally taken into custody by CHP after the family were able to arrive on scene and talk him down without police intervention. He was then transported by AMR to a local hospital.

It really wasn’t funny. I was one of the cars behind him. At one point and he was going the wrong way on the highway headed straight towards us.

Most of you all voted for this kind of behavior; when you voted for the decriminalization of drugs. Now most of you ignorant voters are shocked this is happening. Hold your politicians accountable.
So what drug that is decriminalized would you say this man is on? Last I checked meth and pcp are still criminalized but nice try bud.

I pray none of you in the comments who thinks this is funny, never experiences a loved one who is conflicted with a mental illness. There are so many factors that contribute to mental illness and most times it has nothing to do with drugs. You may not know him, but I do, and he is a phenomenal man who loves on his family and has done so much for his community. People are not defined by what they are going through. Maybe God will excuse your ignorance and insensitivity and spare you the sadness and worry his family is experiencing right now. If not…. well KARMA dealt with you!
I know this man personally,he is a business owner,and a very good person,he doesn’t do drugs,he just had a very bad episode
