Dolly is available for adoption, she is a love bug. She is NOT in danger of being put to sleep!
No dog or cat featured on this page from Antioch Animal Services
is scheduled for anything except for adoption. Any questions, let me know.

Patricia, no one said Antioch Animal Services will euthanize dogs photographed on this page. There is an agreement in place (from my understanding) that this is a partnership between Memoirs of a Dog and Animal Services. Our goal is to promote the dogs for adoption through sharing their qualities, not scare tactics.

Thank you East County Today for featuring our community dogs and Memoirs of a Dog! I would like to just ease every ones mind on the dogs we feature on our page.
We are in the talks with Martinez Animal Shelter to give us the opportunity to market the dogs we have photographed. It breaks are heart when they are killed 2 days after a photo shoot as we do know the demeanor of the dog…It is a long, long road…but we will get there.
Antioch Animal Services has agreed to allow us to market the dogs we have featured without worry of being killed…but the reality is if these dogs are not adopted or fostered, they too will deteriorate in a shelter environment, then what?
Please visit your local shelters and help our community dogs and cats have a healthy loving life!
