The John Marsh Historic Trust announced that on May 14, the public will have a rare opportunity to enjoy a hike through part of the Marsh Creek State Park, usually closed to the public.
Participants may enjoy panoramic views of the area; watch raptors ride the morning thermals; and get a sense of the trees, wildflowers, rock formations and other natural features of the property. The hike is 3 to 4 miles, and includes some moderate elevation gains.
The $20 fee is tax-deductible, and will help support the John Marsh Historic Trust’s efforts to restore John Marsh’s 160-year-old Stone House, and open other parts of the 3,700-acre park to the public.
