May 1-7: Antioch Police Calls

The following is a sampling of the Antioch Police Calls reported between May 1-7  which focuses on the higher priority call responses in the City of Antioch.

Earlier in the week, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District announced they made several arson arrests–including two suspects from incidents that had been occurring in the City of Antioch–in total, there had been 33-different fires within a 48-hour period.

Firefighters had been responding to Hillcrest Park for a series of fires when they got into a physical altercation with a supect who was ultimately detained and taken to a local hospital–he later escaped from a 5150 hold. A second suspect was taken into custody after a series of fires near Costco. That suspect was identified as Gideon Edward Spence, 33 of Concord who is facing 12 felony counts of arson — Full Story on CONFIRE arson Arrests
