On Monday at approximately 5:30 am, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash at Lone Tree Way and Smith Lane in the City of Brentwood.
Upon arrival, firefighters located a two-vehicle crash with major injuries which shut down the roadway in both directions. A medical helicopter was requested.
A 40-year-olf male with major injuries was airlifted to a local hospital while a second patient declined medical treatment.
The crash is under investigation by the Brentwood Police Department.
