Livermore Police Say Richmond Teen Killed in Shooting

On Friday, April 15, 2022, just after 8 p.m., Livermore Police responded to the area of Collier Canyon Road and Meritage Common on the report of an unconscious female with visible injuries in a vehicle. A resident had initially spotted the female in the vehicle and called 911.

Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department also arrived on scene and shortly thereafter, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Detectives closed the roadway for several hours as part of the investigation. Preliminary details reveal the victim died from an apparent gunshot wound. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

The victim has been identified as a 15-year-old female from Richmond. The Alameda County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for confirming the cause of death, along with the identity of the victim.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death as well as a motive. Detectives believe this is an isolated incident. They currently have a person of interest.

Livermore Police are not releasing any more information at this time as the investigation is ongoing. We will provide an update when we have more details.

This is the City of Livermore’s first homicide of the year.
