Juvenile Shot on Vasco Road at Marsh Creek Road Saturday Night

The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old juvenile wounded by gunfire Saturday night.

According to the Sheriffs Office, on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at about 7:58 PM, Delta Station deputy sheriffs responded to the intersection of Vasco and Marsh Creek Roads regarding a shooting.

The Sheriff’s Office was advised that the 16-year-old male juvenile victim earlier arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. According to sources, the juvenile was struck twice by gunfire.

CHP officers and deputies located evidence of a shooting at the intersection. It was determined to be Contra Costa County Sheriff jurisdiction.

Back on February 13, there was a subject who self-transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Neither CHP, Contra Costa County Sheriff nor Antioch Police have released any information on this incident. The shooting occurred at approximently 8:45 pm with multiple shots fired in the area of Highway 4 between Hillcrest Ave and Laurel Road.
