brentwood bank robbery

This afternoon, we reported around 2:10 pm that Liberty High School was on lock down for about 15-minutes as Brentwood Police were searching for a suspect. Turns out, this was in connection to a bank robbery at the US Bank inside the Safeway located at 1125 Second Street in Brentwood.

The male suspect got away with an unspecified amount of cash. The suspect is described as a 30 to 35 year old Caucasian or Hispanic male, roughly 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 180 pounds. He was armed with a handgun and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark ball cap covered with a white knit cap, wearing dark sunglasses, a white long sleeve shirt and dark pants.

The Brentwood Police Department is asking for help in identifying the suspect shown in a photo released to the public. Anyone with information related to the robbery should contact Detective Folena at 925-809-7743.

It should be noted that while we reported Liberty High School was on lock down,  Independence High School was also included in the lock down.

Not real bright for this guy to rob a bank in the middle of a busy store that is obviously equipped with security cameras. I hope they catch this thug.

Quite a few of the banks in busy stores have been robbed. All banks are equipped with security cameras also and they don’t help very much.
