I have noticed that they use life flight alot out here with minor injuries. Witnessed three life flights land in front of our house for one major and two minor injuries. I watched as they loaded up the patients in an ambulance, drive 200 yards, unload and load him up on a life flight and then watched it sit there for 10 plus minutes before taking off. An ambulance could have had him at the hospital. What if this person did not have insurance? They are going to be stuck with a VERY LARGE transportation bill.

Oakland residents need to learn how to drive on rural roads.

Common sense is too much to ask from Oakland and Richmond citizens.

Why? Why can’t drivers stay on their own side of the road? And, slow down!

Cleo Apr 22, 2014 - 12:33 pm

Yes, I agree with Ginger!

And your choice of nom de guerre is not?
Please. Don’t pee on all of our backs and tell us it’s raining “Pancho”…

We check this site for local news, and now we find ourselves getting a good laugh at the comments people make. Its amazing how many people speculate and jump to conclusions. Not every wreck is caused by alcohol or teen carelessness. Just saying.

Red pick up was a girl I know. She came out with a sprained ankle. Thank god she is ok. I’m not sure about the others

Thankfully no one was hurt.

Better off. Apr 24, 2014 - 8:54 am

Joe blow.
Your right there is frequent use of medical air ambulance out here. It’s probably not appropriate for you to comment, due to the fact you have no idea the extent of injuries these people had sustained. East county has no trauma centers and John Muir or U.C Davis is a long way by vehicle. The decision is always up to paramedics and I.C on scene. Things like mechanism of injury, speed, type of injury, need for surgery, room in near bye trauma centers and traffic patterns all play a role in these transports. Maybe leave it up to the experts. They have your best interests at heart.
