by ECT

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning from 1:00 am to 7:00 am in effect for Friday in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The warning comes after temperatures are expected to range from 22-degrees to 32-degrees across the San Francisco Bay Area.  They urge people to take precautions late Thursday night into Friday morning, there will be freezing temperatures that can damage or kill plants that are sensitive to the cold.

The freezing temperatures may also damage pipes and local roads could become icy and impact traffic.

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill corps and other sensitive vegetation.
