Foundation Donates $300 to Local Business to Replace Loss from Counterfeit Money

by ECT

Kevin Fitzgerald, of the Delta Advocacy Foundation Board, made a surprise visit to New2You Label Xchange in Brentwood this morning to provide them with a check for $300 to help recuperate lost revenue after it was discovered they were given counterfeit money.

Last week, the bank informed Krayle and Hilary Dittmore during a money drop that they were the victims of counterfeit money where three $100 bills were fake. A woman tried to pass a fourth $100 bill on Saturday.

Fitzgerald, who saw their story, wanted to help another small business saying he knows how hard it is to earn a living when margins are small and a business is forced to take a loss.

Fitzgerald, who is the general manager at The Golf Club at Roddy Ranch, handed a stunned Krayle Dittmore a check who was very appreciative of the gesture and thanked Fitzgerald for looking out for other businesses.
