On Monday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire in the area of Byron Highway and Orwood Road in unincorporated Brentwood.
The fire was first reported at 8:37 am and by 8:55, the fire was reported 1.5 miles east of Orwood Resort. It was reported as brush and trees on fire with an unknown size.
Crews are currently on scene and were aiming to flood the area.
By 9:14 am, the fire was out.
