On Monday August 19, firefighters from East Contra Costa Fire Protection District were out raising money at Lone Tree Way and Empire Road in Brentwood filling boots with donations from drivers passing by. The funds raised will go to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
East County was very giving Monday as the community raised $9,001.14 towards the cause. For those who were unable to donate Monday, the firefighters will be out again on Friday at Balfour and Fairview in Brentwood.
If the community can raise $11,000 on Friday, ECCFPD could raise over $20,000 for the two-day event.

Good job East County. I am with ECT, lets shoot for $20,000 goal! Suggestion for Friday, take off their shirts and they will make more money. 🙂
