Feb 25 – March 6: Brentwood Police Calls

The following are a sampling of calls handled by the Brentwood Police Department between February 25 through March 6 according to information provided by Brentwood Police.

Arson

  • 2/24 – Chestnut St.: RES ignited a newspaper and threw it onto the driveway. No injuries.
  • 2/24 – Balfour Rd: RES lit a city bench on fire. Fire put out by ECCCFD.
  • 2/28 – Rocky Creek Tr: RES set fire to VIC’s parked vehicle.

Assault

  • 2/27 – Trilogy PW: RES hit VIC with a closed fist during a verbal dispute. VIC desires prosecution.
  • 2/27 – Ash St.: ARR grabbed and injured VIC. ARR later transported to MDF and booked.
  • 2/28 – Sand Creek Road: RES struck VIC in the face with an open hand during an altercation. VIC retaliated by attempting to punch RES, but INV stepped between and was struck instead. All parties declined prosecution.
  • 2/28 – Hawthron Ct.: VIC reported being assaulted by RES after flyng his drone over RES’s property.
  • 2/29 – Balfour Rd: RES punched VIC after VIC approached him and yelled at him. No injuries. No prosecution desired.
  • 3/1 – Winged Foot Rd: VIC was assaulted by two unknown RES. VIC was uncooperative.
  • 3/3 – Sand Creek Rd: VIC was threatened and assaulted by RES in Feb/March of 2015 while at work. VIC and RES no longer work at the business and have had no contact since then.
  • 3/4 – Oak St.: ARR slapped VIC’s arm several times during a verbal altercation. VIC requested and signed a CA form. ARR released on a PTA.
  • 3/4 – Lone Tree Way: RES’ pepper sprayed multiple VICs during a verbal dispute at business. RES’ fled the scene prior to BPD arriving on scene.
  • 3/6 – Oak St.: RES battered VIC and destroyed property at location. EPO issued and not served.

Auto Theft

  • 2/26 – Village Dr.: VIC discovered his vehicle stolen by RES. The vehicle was taken sometime between 2-25-16/1600 hours and 2-26-16/1240 hours.
  • 2/27 – Birchwood Rd: Unknown RES stole VIC’s gray 2006 Nissan Armada. Vehicle later recovered by Oakland PD.
  • 2/28 – Windsor Way: Unknown RES stole RP’s Roto Rooter work van on 2/28/16 between 0100-0800hrs. Vehicle was a 2007 Ford E250.
  • 2/28 – Duffy Way: VIC’s vehicle was stolen by RES from the rear parking lot of Tailgater’s Sports Bar and Grill.
  • 3/1 – Jasmine Ct.: VIC’s work van taken from outside of residence. Vehicle entered into SVS.
  • 3/1 – Dainty Ave: VIC’S VEHICLE AND TRAILER WERE STOLEN. ENTERED INTO SVS.

Burglary – Residential

  • 2/24 – Bristol Ct.: RES stole a curl bar from unsecured garage and women’s Nine West brand sunglasses from unlocked vehicle.
  • 2/27 – Mandevilla Dr.: RP discovered that RES broke the rod iron gate surrounding the model home, forced entry into the garage via the main garage car door and took VIC’s golf cart without permission.
  • 3/2 – Turnberry Ct.: RES entered unlocked door of residence and stole items from within. Occurred 03/01- 03/02/2016 1130-0320 hours.

Burglary – Theft from Auto

  • 3/1 – Continente Ave: Delayed report of a theft from an auto. Total loss is $150 in cables and Bluetooth transmitter.
  • 3/1 – Sand Creek Rd: VIC said his vehicle was broken into and his GPS unit was stolen.

Domestic Disturbance

  • 3/3 – Almond St.: RP and ARR were in verbal argument. ARR was contacted while driving away from scene. ARR was found to be too intoxicated to operate a motor vehicle. ARR to MDF. BAC pending blood results.

DUI

  • 2/25 – Moreau Way: ARR contacted on suspicion of DUI. ARR determined to be DUI. ARR provided breath sample. ARR to MDF.
  • 2/26 – E Country Club Dr.: RP witnessed ARR collide with center median and also reported that ARR appeared to be driving while intoxicated. ARR was contacted at the scene and found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. ARR transported to MDF for booking.
  • 2/29 – Sand Creek Rd: ARR was stopped for a CVC violation and found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. ARR to MDF.
  • 3/1 – Brentwood Blvd: ARR was contacted after reports of him urinating in public. ARR found too intoxicated to care for himself. ARR to MDF.
  • 3/6 – Mediterraneo Way: V-1 collided with V-2 causing significant damage to both vehicles. P-1 was found to be under the suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol. P-1 was transported to MDF for booking. P-2 was transported by AMR to Sutter Delta Hospital for complaint of pain.

Fraud

  • 2/29 – Trail Ct.: Unk RES opened various accounts and charged over $3000 at numerous locations.
  • 3/1 – Brentwood Blvd: Unknown RES used VIC’s bank check without permission. $500.00 loss.
  • 3/3 – Marjoram: RES obtained VIC’s personal information from VIC’s employer and attempted to file taxes on behalf of VIC.
  • 3/3 – Stonehaven Dr.: RES stole VIC’s identity and obtained funds from a savings account. Total loss $1753.00

Grand Theft

  • 2/28 – Mills Dr.: RES took Alarm Guys’ items out of VIC-1’s unlocked vehicle. RES took Dual XD1222 Car Stereo out of VIC-2’s unlocked vehicle. Occ’d between 2/27/16 2320 hours – 2/28/16 0805 hours. Total loss $1745.
  • 2/28 – Brentwood Blvd: ARR stopped for CVC violations and determined to be DUI. BAC pending blood results. ARR to MDF.
  • 2/29 – Stanwick St.: RES stole VIC’s model 1911 pistol.
  • 3/4 – Arroyo Seco: RES entered VIC’s vehicle and took the stereo, speakers, and two power drills valued at $1,200.

Miscellaneous Information

  • 2/24 – Pebble beach Dr.: RP paid money for a loan modification that she never received from a company in Beverly Hills, CA. It appears the company is being investigated by the Federal Trade Commission and is no longer doing business. Case under review.
  • 2/24 – American Ave: RP requested an informational report for harassment against her daughter by a former friend. NFA no crime occurred.
  • 2/24 – Walnut Blvd: INV house caught on fire due to unknown means and was a total loss.
  • 2/25 – Neroly Rd: R/P observed INV-1 fall onto the street. INV-1 was contacted and appeared confused, unable to provide an address. Oakley P.D. soon after received a missing person report. INV-2 responded to our location and after being cleared by AMR, INV-1 was released.
  • 2/29 – American Ave: INV told VIC that she wanted to hit him, she then flipped him off and walked away.
  • 3/1 – John Muir Pw: Small red Honda 100cc style dirt bike fled from officers after a traffic stop was initiated. Driver was wearing a black and yellow motocross style helmet with a black sweatshirt, black/blue backpack, and blue jeans, with black boots. Last observed traveling on dirt path from Concord ave to Foothill …
  • 3/3 – Minnesota Ave: RES kicked over garbage cans and threw one towards students
  • 3/3 – Oak St.: RES entered community center bathroom and clogged all the toilets with seat covers and industrial soap.

Missing Person

  • 3/4 – Jubilee Dr.: RES reported missing after she and her vehicle were not at the residence. RES entered into MUPS. RES later located by police in the City of Hollister. RES removed from MUPS.

Other Violations

  • 2/29 – Second St.: The ARR resisted school employees and police at a disturbance at Liberty High School. He was cited and released to his mother on a juvenile affidavit.

Parole/Probation Violation

  • 3/4 – Lone Tree Way: RES detained for attempted theft and probation violation.

Petty Theft

  • 2/24 – Birch St.: VIC’s cellphone was taken from her backpack at Edna Hill Middle School. Phone pinged back to location in Antioch.
  • 2/25 – Balfour: RES took Backwood Wild N Mild Cigars from VIC without paying. Approximate loss $35.21
  • 2/28 – Lone Tree Way: RES concealed items inside the store and left without paying. WIT attempted to stop RES outside the business and RES took off on foot. RES dropped the stolen items while running away.
  • 2/29 – Sand Creek Road: VIC said both license plates to her vehicle were stolen.
  • 2/29 – Brentwood Blvd: ARR stole drills from Ace Hardware and exchanged them for store credit at Lowes. ARR cited. Property returned.
  • 2/29 – Albani Pl: RES posed as an IRS agent and tricked VIC into sending $1000 via money gram.
  • 3/2 – La Costa Dr.: Touchscreen TV which attaches to spin bike was stolen from inside an unlocked truck. Valued at less than $950.
  • 3/2 – Second St.: RES walked out of the business with shopping basket full of store merchandise, making no effort to pay for it.
  • 3/3 – Sand Creek Road: RES took several clothing items from VIC without paying and fled scene. Approximate loss $554.73
  • 3/4 – Sand Creek Road: RES took several Revlon Mascara from VIC without paying and fled the scene. Approximate loss $149.55
  • 3/4 – Brentwood Blvd: GPS stolen from unlocked vehicle.

Restraining Order Violation

  • 2/29 – Greenyard Ct.: RES called VIC in violation of a R/O.
  • 2/29 – Havenwood Ave: RES violated court order by contacting VIC via telephone.

Vandalism

  • 2/25 – Sand Creek Road: VIC 1 and VIC 2 had their vehicles vandalized.
  • 2/27 – Madrone Pl: RES slashed tires to VIC’s vehicle. Estimated damage $400
  • 2/28 – Tamalpais Ave: RES vandalized community mailbox.
  • 2/28 – Sand Creek Rd: Unknown RES defaced the side of a building.
  • 2/29 – Elk Run Tr: Located graffiti on traffic box at the corner of Brentwood Blvd at Sunset Rd. Public Works notified.
  • 2/29 – Minnesota Ave: RES broke a toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom.
  • 3/5 – Lone Tree Way: RES threw a rock at VIC’s window. Approximate damage $300. Occ’d between 3/4/2016 2000 hours and 3/5/2016 0945 hours.
  • 3/5 – Balfour Rd: RES knocked over candy vending machine after dispute over food. RES and VIC agreed to settle the damage civilly.
  • 3/6 – Sycamore Ave: Unknown RES slashed VIC’s tire.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • 3/3 – Lone Tree Way: ARR contacted for VCOO violation. ARR provided false name and DOB to officer. ARR released NTA.

Warrant Arrest

  • 2/24 – Bypass Highway 4: ARR vehicle stopped for a CVC violation. ARR had a citable traffic warrant and was released on a PTA.
  • 2/28 – Monte Verde Ln: ARR was contacted and found to have a warrant. ARR was booked at M.D.F.
  • 3/6 – Empire Ave: ARR contacted during a consensual encounter. ARR found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Santa Clara PD. ARR released on a PTA

Weapons Violations

  • 3/3 – W. Country Club Dr.: ARR-1 was contacted during suspicious circumstance and found to be in possession of a concealed weapon and under the influence of a CNS stimulant. ARR-2 was determined to be under the influence of a CNS stimulant. ARR-1 and ARR-2 transported to MDF.
  • 3/3 – Lone Tree Way: ARR stopped for VC violations. ARR found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for 11550(a) HS, prohibited person in possession of ammo, in possession of burglary tools, in possession of drug paraphernalia, and in violation of probation. ARR to MDF
