Fairfield Police Identify Suspect in Homicide Investigation

The Fairfield Police Department has identified 25-year-old Fairfield resident Trine Martinez as the suspect in this morning’s homicide. They have attached a still image of Martinez taken from surveillance footage at the crime scene. Martinez may also go by Danny or Daniel.

Martinez’s whereabouts are unknown at this time and the firearm used is still outstanding. Do not contact or approach Martinez as he is considered armed and dangerous. If he is seen, please call 911 and report Martinez’s location to the local law enforcement jurisdiction.

Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for murder, naming Martinez and served a search warrant this afternoon at his residence in the 300 block of San Jose Street in Fairfield. Martinez was not located at the residence.

As of 5:00 pm this evening, the deceased victim has been identified as a 44-year-old Fairfield resident. His name is being withheld at this time pending notification of family. The two other male victims, ages 36 and 28 from Suisun City are still at a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
