WillowLakeRd.

Fire crews quickly responded to a residential fire on Willow Lake Rd. in Discovery Bay this afternoon that caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to a bedroom.

According to the Incident Report, a total of 17 firefighters responded Engines 59, 52, 94, 93 and 88 (Antioch) along with BC 5 and 5100 all responded. Ultimately, only 3 engines and a chief officer arrived on scene.

Engine 59 arrived to find a room and content bedroom fire with no extension to the rest of the home where they put out the fire.  The bedroom had moderate fire, water, and smoke damages.

According to Chief Hugh Henderson, the probably cause is  accidental electrical fire caused by a lamp.

Lucky this was only one bedroom. Suprised we needed that many engines for a simple bedroom fire.
