On Thursday at about 10 PM, Deputy Sheriffs were requested at a medical call on the 2200 block of Newport Court in Discovery Bay.
According to Jimmy Lee, spokesperson for the Contra Costa County sheriff’s office, the victim reported that an explosion outside the house had caused an injury to her hand. Deputies saw evidence that the home was possibly shot at by an unknown person.
An extensive search was conducted by Deputy Sheriffs, STARR3 helicopter and an Antioch Police K-9. No suspects or evidence were located.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound to her hand.

Prediction: the more jitteringly paranoid among us will soon be up in arms in an air-clawing rage in the comment section in reference to:
A) Various hypothesis on the perpetrator’s skin color;
B) Once the shade of skin is known, a ranking scale of how prone the individual was to commit the crime based on melanin levels will be offered;
C) Grandiose political theories on how the East Bay has been designed to be a dumping ground for some type of heinous insane asylum of criminal syndicates;
D) Lastly, how Antioch’s influence is trickling over into Disco Bay like some sort of flu, passed along genetically by those with different ancestors than those of the members of the status quo.
Nick and Thoth where is disco bay? The shooting happened in Discovery Bay and the victim mistakingly thought it was an explosion at first. What’s so hard to comprehend amigos? Are you both that under informed or was it just a juvenile need to comment on things you know nothing about?
