Ray Tetreault, a long time Discovery Bay Community Services Director died at the age of 66  Monday Night after a long fight with cancer

Mr. Tetreault was the second longest tenure on the Board in the history of Discovery Bay serving 11 of the past 13-years at the time of his resignation citing health reasons last month.  He has been a resident of Discovery Bay since 1998 and was a Vietnam Veteran.

At the time of his resignation, Discovery Bay Town Manager Rick Howard was thankful for Tetreaults service.

“Ray has been a Director that has served his community with distinction for many years.  I appreciate his candid and straight forward approach to the issues.  I am honored to have worked with Ray for the past three years and am proud of the many accomplishments that have come about as a result of his commitment to his job as an elected official, but more importantly, as a member of the Discovery Bay community.   He will be missed,” said Howard.
