At 5:08 am Thursday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle off the roadway and into a field off Highway 4 near Regatta Drive in the Town of Discovery Bay.
By 5:20, Engine 59 arrived on scene and located a white Lexus on its side with the driver trapped. A few minutes later they were able to free the patient.
Engine 59 cancelled the medical helicopter as the injuries appeared to be minor in nature.
