Contra Costa Firefighters Battle 2 Acre Vegetation Fire in Antioch

At 11:49 am Monday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vegetation fire near the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) tracks in the City of Antioch. The fire was near their train building off Oakley Road.

The fire was limited to around 2-acres according to Battalion Chief Bob Atlas and no injuries were reported. Several items burned in the fire, including a trailer, tires, and other debris.

Fire investigators were investigating the incident.
