Contra Costa County Public Works to Restart Construction on Balfour Road

by ECT

Brentwood, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works will restart construction activities on Balfour Road starting on Monday, July 23.

The project should be complete by the end of September, barring unforeseen circumstances.  There was a delay due to a nesting Swainson’s Hawk immediately adjacent to Balfour Road.  The nest is now inactive and work can resume.

There will be a detour in effect from Sellers Avenue to Byron Highway.  Eastbound traffic will be detoured via local streets while Westbound traffic will remain on Balfour Road. Funding for this project is provided by the Discovery Bay West Mitigation Fund.  More information for this project can be found at http://www.cccounty.us/pwdmap
