CHP Receives Call of a “Body in a Suitcase”, Turns Out to be a Doll

by ECT

Brentwood — Today, Contra Costa CHP received a call of a “body” in a suitcase along the right shoulder of westbound Highway 4, east of Sand Creek Road. We are thankful it was only a child’s lifelike doll.

The most heart wrenching call a CHP Officer receives is the call of a badly injured or deceased child. With that in mind, we would like to take this opportunity to provide our community with the life saving telephone number to our FREE Child Safety Seat Inspection Program.

Almost 80% of all car seats are improperly installed by intelligent and well intentioned parents. We would like to use our training to help.

To have a certified child safety seat technician inspect your child’s car seat or booster seat at the CHP-Contra Costa office, please call 925.646.4980 and schedule an appointment today.
