Shortly after 11:30 am Wednesday, a woman was taken into custody at Raley’s on Sand Creek in Brentwood with nearly $1,000 worth of merchandise.
According to our friends at AM Productions, the woman walked out of the store when security stopped her. The male suspect who was sitting in a waiting car started yelling at the security guards to let her go before a second security guard left the store and the male then took off as Brentwood Police arrived on scene.
She was then taken to the Brentwood Police Station.
No further information is available at this time.

Even if he was in the car she did it herself what ever happens to her is because of her bad decision to steal from the store
Sounds like the guy waiting in the car for her, was trying to make it seem like something different was going on. If the security guard let her go she more than likely would have jumped in the car and they would have taken off. Good for Raley’s for calling the police and not allowing the shop lifter to walk away. Retail theft causes everyone money. Almost $1000. worth of merchandise was not milk and bread for her kids.
So what was in the cart? You seam to know all the info?
Very sad to see, I love this store and their employees, the last two times I have been there they are having shoplifting issues. Two teens we’re in the Deli today trying to start a fight with employees who ask them to leave!
Well, Raley’s is doing far more than Safeway does. They do nothing.
Good Job Raley’s. Pick them off one or two at a time. Before you know it the crime rate will go down. The Antioch Mayor told us so. Now you know why the price of food is going up. Scumbags like this thief are a big part of the problem. Gee wiz, get a job.
Actually price of food is going up because of gas prices and the fact that we are willing to pay these high prices. If people want to pay less again, they will have to go on strike and stop paying such high prices. As long as The American people continue to pay these high prices, they will stay high.

It’s like that in all over California. Brentwood too. The security officers can if they have their guard card which most of them do. That’s why it was the security guard obtained this lady. The same as it would have took place in Antioch or any other town in California. If there was no guard present, the Raleys employee can be held liable for any altercations. And the law is also there to protect grocery store employees from criminals like the one shown above. Plus, who ever said she was from Antioch? Way to put a label on the criminal black lady. Are you psychic? Maybe she came from Oakland, or Africa? The point is, your words are ignorance and should be left unsaid. Or do more homework before you publicly speak.
