Brentwood Woman Arrested for Pimping Out 16-Year-Old Teen in San Rafael

According to a report out of the Marin Independent Journal, a traffic stop by San Rafael Police led to the discovery of a 16-year-old Washington State girl allegedly being sold for sex a a nearby hotel.

Destiny Delaney Beasley, 20, of Brentwood was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of child trafficking, pimping, pandering and abducting a child for prostitution. Her bail was set at $50,000.

According to the article, The odor of marijuana prompted a search of the car, which revealed a girl’s school identification card and a plane ticket in her name, said police Sgt. Scott Eberle. Police and Beasley went to her room at the hotel, where they found the 16-year-old girl.

The girl told police that she was staying there with Beasley for purposes of selling sex, Eberle said. Investigators found an Internet ad supporting the allegation, and they suspect the girl might have had sex with more than one customer.

According to KCBS, Beasley faces a rash of felony charges, including pimping, pandering, child trafficking and abducting a child for purposes of prostitution.

Lt. Dan Fink of the San Rafael Police Department stated that the Department purchased the teen a plane ticket back to Seattle where she will reunite with her mom on Christmas Eve.

Beasley is the fifth sex trafficking suspect arrested in Marin this month
