Brentwood: Vehicle Rear-Ended Making Illegal Left Hand Turn on Balfour, 4 Injured

At 12:15 pm Tuesday, a vehicle crash left four people injured and shutdown westbound Balfour Road at American Avenue in the City of Brentwood.

According to preliminary information, it appears a vehicle was attempting to make an illegal left hand turn into the back of Heritage High School from Balfour Road and entering an area which said “Do Not Enter”. While stopped, the vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup truck.

In total, 2 people were transported by AMR to local hospitals while 2 people were released at scene according to police.

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District originally requested a medical helicopter to the scene, but later cancelled it.

No other information was made available as Brentwood Police were investigating the crash.

Sounds like the law breakers got what they deserved, too bad an innocent person rear ended them and had his day/truck ruined.
